Pull quote from the Technology Review article: “The dog becomes a kind of online avatar.”
Okeh. It’s interesting to think about the general unintelligibility of that statement before, say, 1990. It’s also interesting to think about happy dog owners meeting some enchanted evening when the SNIF tracks down their most-wanted other.
Okeh.
My ears heard the sounds from across the web of someone blogging about dogs…
Dogster is very cool, a really built out social network. I had created profiles there for our labs back in 2004 (http://cogdogblog.com/2004/02/12/gone-to/) but apparently some cat peed on the web site as my entries are 404!
But Dog blogs are so 1.0 — Check out dog wiki http://www.wikifido.com/ and a doggy flickr http://www.doggysnaps.com/ — look for Mickey and Cadu there 😉
Hmmm, did someone say it was time to eat? Later……..
Ah, but what about SNIF, CDB? That’s the real hook here…. Got yerself a SNIF for Mickey and Cadu?
The owners use the dogs to get a date? What kind of pick-up line would a person use in this case? “You make my doggie-detector go on overload” ???
Call me old fashioned, but just talk to me…
