I’ve got a Gibson without a case,
But I can’t get that even tanned look on my face.
Ill-fitting clothes, and I blend in the crowd;
Fingers so clumsy, voice too loud.
But I’m one.
I am one.
And I can see that this is me,
And I will be,
You’ll all see….
excerpt from “I’m One,” by Pete Townshend.
From Quadrophenia (1973).
I can see the real you, Doctor, Doctor!!
An all time favorite memory was watching Quadrophenia in your home. Can we go back, Jack, do that again?
@Alan oh yes, we must. Good times. I wish they still gave the Quadrophenia tour in Brighton that I got to go on in 2003. Between Brighton and Beano’s (now sadly gone and much missed), Townhouse Studios and the BBC, that was one heck of a study trip.
